The 10 Best Instagram Spots in Nashville That Will Light Up Your Feed

Nashville is one of the coolest cities in the country. Not only is there so much to do, eat, and see in Music City, but it’s also the perfect place for some gorgeous photo ops. The busy city streets are packed with music, friendly smiles, and unmatched happy energy, and the laid-back neighborhoods have a peaceful vibe you can only get down South. Think grabbing an ice-cold beer and listening to top-notch country music on Broadway, and then driving a few minutes to find people sipping sweet tea on their front porch and watching the world go by. It really is a little slice of heaven.

I love documenting my travels with beautiful and creative photos (at least I try to). I’m that type of person that Googles the best Instagram spots everywhere I go before I arrive, makes a list, and plans a route to hit them all. Yes, it’s nice to get a few likes on Instagram, but for the most part, I love doing it to have my own personal photo album. And in Nashville, I definitely wasn’t alone.

One of the first things I noticed when we started to explore was the obvious location of the city’s many murals. They aren’t hard to find at all because there’s usually a long line of people waiting around them to get their photo taken. And, thankfully, many of the Instagram-worthy spots are very close together. From Honkey Tonk highway to the famous “I Believe in Nashville” mural, keep reading for 10 of the city’s best Instagram spots.

1. Lower Broadway

Lower Broadway, aka Honkey Tonk Highway, is the heart of the city. With neon signs and massive guitars enticing tourists and locals alike to come on in, have a drink, and stay a while, you could easily snap 15+ amazing and colorful photos in a three-block radius.

Location: Lower Broadway

2. “Make Music Not War” Mural

Located in the city’s adorable 12 South area, the “Make Music Not War” mural is a must for any photography junkie. And bonus? It’s only a few feet away from a gorgeous flower field mural, and across the street from a giant tie-dye “I ❤ Nashville” mural. Three birds with one stone, y’all.

Location: 2902 12th Ave S. (12 South area)

3. Draper James

I have a feeling Reese Witherspoon knew exactly what she was doing when she made Draper James so bright and beautiful. You can’t go here and not take a ridiculous amount of photos. That blue and white wall just screams Instagram.

Location: 2608 12th Ave S. (12 South area)

4. “I Believe in Nashville” Mural

After you’re done at Draper James, all you have to do is literally turn around to find the famous “I Believe in Nashville” mural. The two are located in the same alleyway, and there’s bound to be a line of people who will happily offer to take your photo in front of it.

5. Amelia’s Flower Truck

Colorful flowers, an old-school Volkswagen, and that Tennessee sunshine = the perfect photo. Amelia’s Flower truck has a gorgeous Instagram account of their own if you need any inspiration, and all you have to do to find them is check their website to see where they’ve set up shop for the day around the city.

Location: Check their website day-of!

6. Jeni’s Ice Cream

This place is so much fun, not to mention the gorgeous retro-inspired decor. You can either snap a photo of your food in the main “living room” dining area, or head to the back to the bowling alley for some cocktails and games. Either way, your photo will be on-point.

Location: 33 Peabody St.

8. Three Brothers Coffee

OK, this place actually has a tiny alley next to it for Instagram photos. While that might be reason enough for you to go there, don’t worry: their coffee is freaking amazing, too.

Location: 2813 West End Ave.

9. Johnny Cash Museum

This one might just be for me since I’m a huge Johnny Cash fan, but the outside of his museum offers some really great photo ops. You can either snap the museum sign or pose next to the Sun Diner, which is a reference to the infamous Memphis recording studio the singer frequented back in the day. Also, Florida Georgia Line’s new restaurant and bar is right across the street!

Location: 119 3rd Ave S. (Right off Lower Broadway)

10. Five Daughters Bakery

My phone died a few minutes before we stuffed our faces with treats at Five Daughters Bakery (tragedy, I know), but that doesn’t mean I didn’t think of all the bright and beautiful photos I could have taken. Their color scheme is pastel pink and blue, so you know it’s perfect.

Location: 1110 Caruthers Ave. (12 South area)
